UGG boots are a type of boot and not a brand. I looked up the website you bought your boots from, and although they are 'UGG' boots, they are not UGG Australia boots. This is the brand that you see the celebrities wearing. There is nothing wrong as such with buying different make UGGs, simply that you may find the quality is poor. The main companies you should look out for if you want good quality boots are UGG Australia or EMU.
